In honor of Earth Day 2015, we’re releasing our newest song, Earth Air Fire Water.
We had a very fun 3 song set at UnUrban Cafe in Santa Monica. Loved seeing friends and paring our show down to a bare minimum.

Snowflakes members are proud to lend our talents as part of the house band for Highway To Hollywood, a pilot for a TV talk show. Martin is the MD (musical director). It was great fun to shoot the show. It’s all done in a giant green screen studio at LA Castle Studios. Martin wrote the song. Natasha is on bass. Kerry Crutchfield is on drums. George G. Woo is on keyboards. This group is officially known as Martin Blasick And The Highway To Hollywood Band.
We pulled together a slideshow video for our cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. We played so many great shows last year and have been chipping away at our upcoming album. In the meantime the meaning of this song was speaking to us. We weren’t planning on recording a cover. But the spirit struck and we are pleased to share John Lennon’s prayer for peace and photos from the fun gigs we’ve played.
xoxo

Maybe it’s no big deal to the experienced podcasters, but we’re tickled silly that iTunes carries our podcast:
It’s just a pretty cool world that lets us share what’s up via iTunes’ really big umbrella. No money changes hands. They incorporate the RSS info into their podcast store but don’t host the media. That stays of our server. It’s a win-win. It’s easy to subscribe from the iTunes store.
I (Martin here) was slow to learn how to enjoy podcasts. Once I finally forced myself to study my iTunes for 5 minutes, I got tons of pleasure from podcasts that I’ve now followed for a couple of years. One of them is nearing its 200th episode. And the shows I listen to are never never never going to be on a mainstream outlet.
Did I dream that I’d be a podcaster? Or that Snowflakes would podcast? Never once until we attended the Los Angeles Podcast Festival recently. Now that the RSS thingy is worked out I believe our next Snowflakes episode will automatically appear on iTunes. Time to check the microphones…
